Worship is the central focus of the life of this church. It is a time of learning, a time of renewal, a time of praise, a time of reflection, a time of fellowship and a time to re-charge your spiritual batteries and equip you for your Christian life in the weeks ahead. Our Sunday worship is designed to encompass various styles and needs in the hope of reaching as many people as possible in a way that is relevant to them.

11am – Traditional

6pm – Evening Worship

7pm – New Song Café, on the second Sunday of each month, in place of our usual evening worship.

7.30pm New Song Connect on the fourth Sunday of each month. this is a more relaxed time of worship in the Cafe

Communion
Communion is celebrated once a month. At these services we remember that Jesus after sharing bread said “Do this to remember me”. If you wish to share in communion at St James Road Methodist Church you are very welcome whatever your age or background. The wine we use is non-alcoholic.
Communion at the 9.30am service has an informal, family friendly feel with the 11am and 6.30pm communion services being more formal in approach.
