We have one church bank account, but the money we get goes in lots of different directions! First and foremost have to pay for our ministers and the work they do in leading the church. Like any large building, we have significant running costs. We try as much as we can to cover our running costs through our room hire, but this is never guaranteed (especially when the building is closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic!)
Our development project, Connect, is hugely expensive but we believe it is absolutely the right thing to do. We have obtained funding through a range of grants, giving and fundraising. We have also been loaned some money which we will, of course, need to pay back over time.
Our new cafe should be open in the autumn and we are currently trying to raise money to provide furniture and equipment for this.
